About these tiles
Before CSS gradients and big background photos, glitter pages were built from tiny repeating GIFs like these. A tile is about 60×30 pixels and a few kilobytes, the browser repeats it edge to edge, and the three-frame animation makes the whole page shimmer. They are the same textures GigaGlitters has used to fill glitter text since 2008.
Need a large still image instead, for a phone wallpaper or a design? The glitter background maker draws full-size images up to 4K.
FAQ
How do I use a glitter tile as my website background?
Press “CSS” under a tile to copy the code, then paste it into your stylesheet or inside a <style> tag. The tile repeats across the page automatically.
Will the background animate?
Yes. The tiles are animated GIFs with three frames, so the glitter shimmers in every modern browser.
Can I download the tiles?
Yes, press “GIF” to save a tile and host it on your own site. That is the safest option if you want the background to stay up for years.
